  • Clive Owens Best film by a mile

    Rated - 5.0 stars

This film looks at what the world would be like if there were to be a universal crisis that caused every living person to give up hope on careers, relationships, society and life itself - the world is infertile. And human nature is collapsing.

This film captures the hopelessness of the world incredibly well! I felt completely sucked into the film. Also it is only 21 years in the future, so everything is recognisable as its all shot in England, which adds to the emotional connection you get while watching it.

It has been directed very well too, there is one battle scene which is entirely shot in one go, it doesn't change camera angles once-amazing!

And Clive Owen prooves that he can act, this is easily his best film to date.

If you like Minority Report, Terminator, Saving Private Ryan, You'll love this!!

  • A post-apocalyptic adventure story

    Rated - 2.5 stars

A post-apocalyptic film with a few surprises in the plot. Although it just about rose above its more pedestrian sequences, I didn't feel that it added anything to the genre, and wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again.

this film is incredible , gruesome in parts yet so realistic in every sense I do not want to give too much away but the story is really well written, this for me is a film that goes in my list of favourite films of all time

  • OK, yes, worth watching...

    Rated - 3.5 stars

Another post-apocalyptic film, but this one works from the angle of the ordinary man-in-the-street. Not a super-hero with amazing abilities, just an ordinary Joe trying to get by. All the cast play their parts well, but for me in many ways it is the superb Michael Caine who is most memorable.

It is not a film you can get your teeth into, and it will not test your cerebral capacity but, well, recommend you give it a go.

A good story. Plenty of action which I enjoyed, but, the bad language was over the top to the point of being ridiculous.

As usual there was the one glimpse of required nudity that was totally unnecessary.

The acting was of a high standard,

  • Disarming Charm

This was enjoyable. In clashes of ideologies and bigotries, the main character was able to cut through those who thought they had the power with disarming comments. e. g. 'Your breath smells' or 'You've got something in your teeth.' This sets the tone and I liked it a lot. Michael Caine makes a great hippy.
