5th December 2008

I remember watching this as a child and finding it particularly eerie and atmospheric. Time hasn't diminished this in some respects and it is as good as I remembered it to be.

The plot still moves along at a cohesive and cracking pace. Of course the acting is comically wooden at times and there is pseudo-scientific psycho-babble aplenty! It is also fun to see the kids acting and to look at the 1970's fashions and errant bouffant hairstyles sported by the main actors, but most entertaining for me was the fainting scene in episode one.

I'd recommend watching this in one go, especially if you are recovering from the flu or some such minor illness. You can repeatedly vocalize along to the opening and closing credits composed by Sidney Sager. Great stuff!
