Delicious Movie!

Johnny Depp is as delicious as ever, and this movie is fantastic. It's not a chick flick so don't be put off if you're male. Wonderfully acted Juliet Binoche is perfect as the single mother who arrives in a quiet, strictly religious town. She opens a 'risque' luxury chocolate shop and changes everyones lives with her seductive recipies. Her love interest is played by Johnny Depp who arrives in town as a traveller. Definately worth a watch (I watched it twice!)- Was this review helpful to you?

Favorite film of all time.
By ziggy22 (4 reviews) , 10 Apr 2013This is my absolute favorite film of all time. I can't praise it enough and could just watch it over and over, it's so beautifully done in all aspects! Being a huge fan of the book also, Juliette Binoche is just the perfect choice of actress to play Vianne. She's brilliant. (And also must add Judi Dench is fabulous as always too!) serene beautiful story
By a customer , 29 Mar 2013this movie shows how people can be prejudiced towards things that seem bad, like pirates or chocolate. when in fact, occasional indulgences in such bad things can be good - it can be a fun release from the mundane life. This movie has a good wide cast of actors and actresses with great subtle acting skills and a great setting in a small village, talking about the morals of life and good and bad and how like the man who runs the town, how repression can be more dangerous than just briefly dipping into enjoyment like fun and chocolate and breaking the rules once in a while. also, it teaches that the only wrong thing is to be rigid and telling people what is wrong, the great thing that is shown in this movie is freedom of spirit doing whatever you feel like as long as nobody is harmed. such a good moral teaching of the movie great movie.- Was this review helpful to you?
