    [Highly rated reviewer]

I watched 'Chopping Mall' thinking it was going to be awful like 99% of other Vipco offerings, but It turned out to be a most pleasant surprise. Yes the acting was atrocious and the plot was to say the least a little thin but believe me it's a good laugh.

It has obviously had genuine thought and care put into some scenes and has a few stand out moments that will have you rolling on the floor laughing, but not in a bad way. I am so glad I rented it as it is a real gem and is easily the best of the Vipco movies I have seen so far.

Having heard about 'Chopping Mall' I was excited to see it, I like cheesy 80's horror and in some ways this title delivered and in some ways it failed.

It's looking very dated and the film quality is low, although the sets were pretty good and the robots quite well made, the acting was pretty bad but that's a given in this type of movie. It never really gripped me, I could not bring myself to really care who made it out and who did not.

Worth a rent if 80's cheese is your thing, if you are just a casual horror watcher there is far better out there.

  • A load of rubbish

This typical American B Movie is the biggest load of rubbish I have sat through.

    1 Acting is pretty poor

2.The story line, whilst capable of better interpretation, was murdered.

3.The print quality on my copy was awful, very much like a 5th generation camcorder copy.

To sum up,not a dvd to enhance Lovefilms reputation

The robots in this film look like even cheaper versions of the daleks off of D.r who. The effects are crap, the acting even worse andin general the movie is a shamble. Yet some parts did seem to keep me amused.

Very mis-leading cover art that depicts something more like a horror film. It's really a Terminator rip-off (fighting robots) with 80's garishness....but none of the good garishness.

I like B-movies that know they're B-movies and act on it. I hate B-movies where they think they could be mainstream big films. This film is one of them.

Teenagers frolicking in a mall after closing time get stalked and killed by security robots that have gone insane when lightning strikes the computer on the roof of the mall (who puts a bleedin' computer on a roof?)

Usual characters. The macho jock. The geeky one. The nice girl who takes a shine to the geeky one. The tarty one. No prizes for guessing who lives and dies.
