A proper head trip
By Albert from West Sussex , 18 Mar 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
What can I say? I havent seen this film for like 10 years but remembered it as very scary.
Watched it and wow! Its still lost none of its charm or appeal. Its not like todays horror films, where they scare you with vile images, its a proper head trip! You never see anything really gory, but somehow youre still just as scared.
The acting is very good, and the car is a classic American beauty.
Watch it on a dark rainy night, alone, and it'll give you nightmares :-)- Was this review helpful to you?

(51)the film is still good now as it was in 1983
By smokeychops (554 reviews) from newcastle under lyme , 25 Jan 2012Really enjoyed it again. First watched it in 1983 on vhs . I still enjoyed it now . Still not read the book so i cant compare it to the film. I felt the film still stands up as a good film in the modern time of today , a good well made film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Classic Horror. Fantastic for the time it was made!
By TheHollipops (5 reviews) , 02 Sep 2011Made in '83, I think this is a good horror, especial for the time that it was made. The special effect are fantastic for 30years ago! I enjoy this film, and thing the emotions protrayed on the young actors/actresses is very believable. With the creepy tense music you get drawn into the setting. Recommend to anyone!- Was this review helpful to you?

See if you are a King fan!
By a customer , 16 Aug 2011Worth seeing if you are a fan of Stephen King, just to see how it compares to the book. A bit strange and dark - so qwouldn't recommend if you are not a King fan.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't mess with Christine!!
By Stinger (38 reviews) from Rochdale , 21 Feb 2011I read the book about ten years before I saw the film and thought that it remained as failthful as possible to the book.
Call the Yanks whatever you like but the inescapable fact is they make the most beautiful cars ever, period. Christine is a '58 Plymouth Fury and to be perfectly frank if this car doesn't turn you then you haven't got a switch!!!! My wife looked bemused and said 'it's a car.' which is tantamount to saying Michael Schumacher is a driver!!
The film is about 20 minutes too long and the director didn't get the best out of all the shots but the car takes your mind off all those inadequacies.
I've seen this on both T.V. and DVD and I'd choose the big screen any time.
Definitely worth a watch and the car gets 5 stars!- Was this review helpful to you?

Classic Carpenter
By a customer from London , 16 Sep 2010The old car with a mind of its own! Highly implausible, completely unbelievable and very silly, but the film really tries not to take itself too seriously. One to watch on a Friday night after getting back from the pub.- Was this review helpful to you?
