A proper head tripBy Albert from West Sussex , 18 Mar 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]What can I say? I havent seen this film for like 10 years but remembered it as very scary.
Watched it and wow! Its still lost none of its charm or appeal. Its not like todays horror films, where they scare you with vile images, its a proper head trip! You never see anything really gory, but somehow youre still just as scared.
The acting is very good, and the car is a classic American beauty.
Watch it on a dark rainy night, alone, and it'll give you nightmares :-)

a gemBy Numbet (14 reviews) from London , 28 Aug 2013not a very scary film but the transition from nerdy to badass cool has never been bettered and the unique uses of swear words to create this film great one liners is unforgettable - a film to watch many times.
Good retro horror from CarpenterBy Alexander-UK (128 reviews) , 04 Aug 2013Christine was just about what i thought it would be, a slick retro horror mixed with the weird mind of King's novels. The movie storyline is obviously silly and makes very little sense at all because you sit and wonder how can it ever be destroyed after the petrol thing and the smashing up and yet the movie ends with it being destroyed again. Anyway its a decent movie, and not something i would ever buy but worth a quick watch on a friday night sometime.
road rageBy nurseboy (66 reviews) from oxford , 03 Aug 2013ok so not bad, not as good an adaptation as the rash of other made for tv style movies that are the best king adaptations (the shining, desperation, salems lot, it) but one of the better 'real' films which largly suck or at lest suck in comparasion to the book where almost inevietably large chunks of events and/or characters / or motervations are removed or otherwise lost in the struggle to cram 1000 pages into 1-2 hours on screen. this is an example of where this has been done, there is a deffinate feel of 'christine lite' about it however all hte key sceens are there...ish. its a good example of an ok done king adaptation but did leave me wanting to start the book again. well made for its time the scares still work in this ,as in many of the others i have cited, because the scares are concept and character driven. give it a go.
the film is still good now as it was in 1983By smokeychops (670 reviews) from newcastle under lyme , 25 Jan 2012Really enjoyed it again. First watched it in 1983 on vhs . I still enjoyed it now . Still not read the book so i cant compare it to the film. I felt the film still stands up as a good film in the modern time of today , a good well made film.
Classic Horror. Fantastic for the time it was made!By TheHollipops (5 reviews) , 02 Sep 2011Made in '83, I think this is a good horror, especial for the time that it was made. The special effect are fantastic for 30years ago! I enjoy this film, and thing the emotions protrayed on the young actors/actresses is very believable. With the creepy tense music you get drawn into the setting. Recommend to anyone!
