Comedic Espionage - Good for a CHUCKle
By nme2no1 (16 reviews) from Gainsborough , 31 May 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Basics: A 20 something computer repair guy, with a fairly uninteresting existence, gets drawn in to a dangerous and confusing world of spies and secretive governmental organisations when an unusual email subliminally fills his head with a plethora of sensitive information.
I've been watching this series on Sky over the last few weeks, and its been great fun. There are some great comedic moments and a nice variety of characters for us to love and hate (or love to hate), including Adam Baldwin playing a great role (John Casey), not entirely dissimilar to his 'Jayne' in Firefly. There's the stunning presence of Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah Walker), whom I'd never heard of until watching this show. You girls have some eye candy too, but the main backdrop of a computer repair section in an electrical superstore does not lend itself so much to the presence of fit men (perhaps a little too stereotypically).
Whilst featuring some action scenes, and being based around the world of espionage, there is a little something for everyone here and the show does not take itself too seriously.
Watch Chuck avoid death and destruction at every turn, whilst trying to maintain a normal life with his sister and her 'Awesome' boyfriend, as well as coping with the antics of Morgan and the rest of the Buy More superstore crew.
I would recommend anybody to at least take a look.- Was this review helpful to you?

(22)The Spy who we all want to be.
By Hoggleton (6 reviews) , 09 Apr 2011I love Chuck. Chuck is everything in a TV show I have been waiting for, for years. It does have a very tight fan base, very loyal and the characters are very relate-able (minus the spy stuff).
If you enjoy Nerdy, Geeky talk and Leggy Blondes and Brunettes then look no further.- Was this review helpful to you?

Chuck Season 1
By Anghaggis (8 reviews) from London , 14 Feb 2011Wicked - light-hearted and entertaining. Chuck's an endearing hero and the back stories keep you hooked. Great mix of action / humour and the odd sentimental moment.
