Brilliant!!!

No superlatives would be too much to describe this film of such talented acrobats.
(This was the second disc in a series of 4 but I had to watch it first as disc one got lost/delayed in the post.)
A series of scenes representing a real circus without the animals but with trick cyclists, high wire acts, balancing acts - all so well choreographed and timed in with the music.
Just wish I was as talented and supple!- Was this review helpful to you?

(18)Don't bother, they're here...
By YZ (12 reviews) , 14 Jan 2012I'm sure this is a great evening out if you see it live, after all they are an extremely talented troupe who excel in their field, but on screen it's all rather dull.
If only the camera would stay still for longer than a couple of seconds so that we could see a sequence as the audience sees it instead of a variety of angles intercut with each other.
Even Charlie Chaplin omitted 'The Circus' from his autobiograhy. Some things are best forgotten...- Was this review helpful to you?

Circus De Soleil - Saltimbanco
By alienka (6 reviews) from Ammanford , 14 May 2009Another wonderful creation of the world-known circus. Every one of their performances is an amazing adventure into the beauty, grace and magical tale.- Was this review helpful to you?

A kaleidoscope of entertainment
By a customer from Buckhurst Hill, Essex , 10 Oct 2008Cirque de Soleil can do no wrong in my eyes, whatever 'edition' I watch. Of course, it's wonderful to see the fantastic skills and thrills actually live whenever possible but I consider myself extraordinarily lucky to be able to live in an age where a whole circus ring and its galaxy of talent can also re-enact its performances in my home. Watch and wonder!- Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic
By a customer from England , 13 Nov 2006I first saw one of these shows live at the Albert Hall in London and could not stop raving about it. The only reason this production losses a star is because things like this are never as good on the screen as they are live.- Was this review helpful to you?

Basically a dvd of a circus performance
By a customer from Gods own county - Yorkshire , 10 Mar 2006This is basically a dvd of a whole circus performance. The camera has a very annoying habitof moving off the main act to look what the clowns around the screen are doing so you miss bits of the main act. I have enjoyed other cirque du soleil dvds more.- Was this review helpful to you?
