Light hearted slap stick martial arts comedy
By Richard Isted from London , 11 Mar 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
City Hunter was originally a comic book and has been adapted for the screen. I must say they have done job as the film has that silly, larger then life comic book feel to it. I really enjoyed it, it had me laughing most of the way through. Don?t take this film too seriously or you?ll miss out on the fun.- Was this review helpful to you?

An oldie, but a funny, light-hearted goldie.
By Gaijin (10 reviews) from Southampton , 18 Jul 2012I LOVE this film. It is an oldie, but a goldie :-) It is kind of cartoonish in parts but Jackie Chan WANTED it to be that way. The fact that throughout the entire movie, all he wants is something to eat but he is forced to save everyone. :-)
I particularly love the Street Fighter II fights. They made me laugh SO much...absolute classic. :-)
Any fans of Jackie Chan should DEFINITELY watch this, but be warned, it IS meant to be an action-comedy, not just a straight-out martial arts fight movie.- Was this review helpful to you?

OK-ish
By a customer from London, England , 23 Sep 2010I rented this mainly to see what Jackie Chan was like in the 1990's. This film is aimed more at east Asian younger audiences and Chan does not do much fighting in it. The divine Chingmy Yau makes it worthwhile though as she looks very, very, very nice in it.- Was this review helpful to you?
