Being a massive fan of Elton, I was really looking forward to this DVD. The content was very good, interviews and contributions from old band members like Nigel Olssen, Dee Murray and Davey Johnstone. Gus Dudgeon is an ever present throught the documentary and gives a fascinating insight into some of the tracks and how they were mixed. The main disappointment for me was that although it is stated that the documentary is 90 minutes long, it is actually only fifty minutes.Another forty minutes covering all of the tracks on GYBR would have made it perfect and would have got 5 star rating. If you are an Elton John fan, particularly his early stuff then this is a must see- Was this review helpful to you?

A bit of a con really...

Those were the days...

Great footage of Elton and his crew hanging out. Touches on the relationship between Elton and Bernie and the stories behind his lyrics. Good insight into their unique relationship. Could have gone into more depth about production.- Was this review helpful to you?
