Having discovered the Fleetwood Mac Album 'Rumours' just this year I was quite excited to order this DVD. Such great songs seen on the big screen was bound to be a winner. Alas it was not to be. The interior shots of a studio didn't bode well for seeing a full bloodied performance of the Album and indeed it was not to be. I can imagine that long standing Fleetwood Fans may find this pure Documentary an interesting insight into the personal squabbles that were taking place as the Album was made. But I'm not in that class yet and found it all very tedious with just brief snatches of tracks that I recognised.. why do they do that..at least play the songs throughout. There is a wiff of ripp off here and I'm just glad I never bought the thing. In essence then..dont expect a concert of a great album..just behind the scene stories from the players themselves a few years further down the line.
Put simply, if you like the Fleetwood Mac era that comprised of Mick Fleetwood, John MacVie, Christine MacVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham then you'll adore this documentary.
Rumours famous "vibe" can quite possibly be the result of the wierdest circumstances a band has ever endured.
Not a recipe to be recommended for other recording bands, but one that produced one of the best albums the world has ever seen!
