This is a documentary about the Classic album 'Number of The Beast'. I was expecting a music DVD. The DVD is however very interesting and interviews with the band reveal how this album started the ball rolling and how they enjoy working together, also features a preview of the EXCELLENT ROCK IN RIO DVD.

Just don't expect too much music as it is mainly interviews with band members.

Lots of band interview footage, decent live versions of the songs, recommended to Maiden fans and anyone digging them up, this and the next 3 albums were truly their heyday!

  • Surprisingly good!

This DVD splices in video clips, sound clips and *plenty* of new & original interviews from all the band members (past and present), Rod Smallwood, Martin Birch, Andy Taylor, and it's even got a picture of the ever-elusive Derek Riggs.

It looks at the album, and what was going with Iron Maiden at the time.

It won't have many surprises for more determined fans, but it's still very watchable. I'm surprised it's not an official authorised release - it certainly should be!

    Recommended!

I'm a maiden fan of little over a year, it has to be said, but I have been won over in such a short time by their fast licks, screaming vocals, and almost spiritual melodies. A nice surprise then to find this Iron Maiden DVD!

The DVD itself has a main feature of about an hour's length, in which we skip between live footage, chats with those associated with the band, and exclusive interviews with the band members themselves.

The interviews are pretty juicy, and we learn a lot about the band as musicians, and as people. I mean, I was surprised how normal Bruce Dickinson seemed, being a member of such a crazy metal band and all.

There's extra features such as specific interviews and specific great live performances, so it’s all good.

All in all a great DVD.
