Minder
i missed a lot of these when they were originally broadcast & although a bit dated now they are still top quality entertainment with strong characters & good storylines

Class Act
There’s not much to add in a review – you either don’t like Minder or you do. Take your choice – watch non entities eating bugs on live TV or watch this, dusted down from the vaults of televisual history from an era when they used to do telly properly.
The inimitable Cole and Waterman form one of the great double acts in the series that kicked off in 1979 and provided a perfect epitaph for Thatcherite Britain. Minder can be enjoyed for its social anthropological qualities or more mundanely for the quality of characterisation and writing.
Take this gem of dialogue between Arthur and another pillar of the business establishment. “How’s the missus?”, “Diamond”, “She’s a jewel”, “No, she’s harder than flint”. -
