Private-eye Pogue is having a really bad week. He witnessed a terrible explosion that left him with a weird form of amnesia: every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up with no memory of the day before. But there's one thing he knows for sure, he's been assigned to find a priceless coin. In the meantime, he's got to stay out of the line of fire, which won't be easy since the gangsters on his trail will stop at nothing to keep him quiet. Pogue the Private Investigator (Dana Carvey, WAYNE'S WORLD) is nearly upstaged by eye-patched pooch called Barkley in this hilarious forget-fest.

WAYNE'S WORLD comedy star Dana Carvey is a detective with a rare form of amnesia in a mildly amusing comedy in the GROUNDHOG DAY mould. Every morning he wakes up with his memory wiped completely clean of the previous day's events — a particularly unfortunate occurrence seeing he's the key witness in a Mob trial. Chuckles may be thin on the ground during Carvey's constant manic memory refreshment, but the endearingly dotty premise proves compelling overall. The talented Jack Russell terrier Moose (Eddie from Frasier) steals every scene he's in as the pet dog with a depth-perception problem.

A shaggy dog comedy in which all the laughs are stolen by a one-eyed Jack Russell terrier; it is a pity he couldn't have been persuaded to write the script.
