It's no wonder that three first-rank screenwriters were hired to adapt this sequel to Patriot Games, as there is so much plot in Tom Clancy's original novel that it's a minor miracle they squeezed it all into 135 minutes. It takes the picture some time to gather momentum, but, once the links between the Colombian drugs barons and some top US officials are established, it's action all the way. Harrison Ford is on commanding form for his second outing as CIA troubleshooter Jack Ryan and director Phillip Noyce makes a much better job of this than he did of The Saint.

A really gripping movie from beginning to end! Both Harrison ford and Willem Dafoe did themselves proud! I'd recommend this to anyone ...excellent!

Excellent Clear and Present Danger.

Ok, You need to watch The Hunt for the Red October, then Patriot Games to really appreciate this Jack Ryan Character. CIA Analyst Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford at his best) is drawn into an illegal war fought by the US government against a Colombian drug cartel. Fantastic Action Thriller, Superb Cast and Acting, Attention Grabbing scenes. You won’t want to miss this one.

The Plot Thickens.

Enjoyable, but a tad overlong, this complex thriller is filled with good performances. The subject matter is not as personal as in Patriot Game, but Harrison Ford still plays Jack Ryan better than his counterparts.

A usual Harrison Ford film. This film is dated but still not bad, in fact its pretty damned good compared too some of the stuff ive watched lately.

Great Thriller!

This is a great movie with Harrison Ford at the helm and Anne Archer as his wife. There is some great action scenes but it is mostly a intense thriller with an excellent storyline. Try and watch the whole series if you can.

Good action film

Not read the book but I'm sure that this was a faithful reproduction. However, by todays standards, this film looks dated both in terms of content and cinematic style. Good fun though.

High action adventure

This is a highly recommendable high action adventure film with an underlying message about the hand played by politicians.
