    [Highly rated reviewer]

this film is superb and is voiced by Bill Hader and Anna Faris.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is inspired by Ron and Judi Barrett's beloved children's book of the same name.

The movie follows inventor Flint Lockwood (the voice of Bill Hader) and brainy weathergirl Sam Sparks (the voice of Anna Faris from The House Bunny and My Super X Girlfriend) as they attempt to discover why the rain in their small town has stopped while food is falling in its place.

Meanwhile, lifelong bully Brent (the voice of Adam Samberg) relishes in tormenting Flint just as he did when they were kids, and Mayor Shelbourne (the voice of Bruce Campbell from Xena) schemes to use Flint's latest invention - a device designed to improve everyone's lives for his own personal gain.

Mr. T. from The A Team voices by-the-book cop Earl Devereaux, and James Caan voices Flint's technophobe father called Tim.

    Well worth watching !!!!

  • Entertaining but inconsequential

This film exceeded my expectations. No animation really matches up to Pixar, but at least this gets close at times. The animation itself is excellent. The story is utterly silly but plays out with two characters that we invest in emotionally to a degree, and some other decent comic characters (the dad, the mayor and the grown up child star). The idea just runs out of steam for the final, lengthy climax in a way something like Up does not. But if you can do without being genuinely moved like with Up and Toy Story, then this is good, fun entertainment for all the family.

The scene with the dad trying to work out what a mouse was and how to use it was hilarious. It reminded me of trying to teach my mother how to use a computer for the 1st time - they just dont get it!!!
