My son had his Birthday Party at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham yesterday. 30 kids and 5 adults watched 'Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs'.
I was expecting your average animated stuff, but found myself (and the kids and all of the adults) Laughing out loud to this great film.
Loads of references to other films (Aliens, Armageddon, Fifth Element, Terminator - heart rip out scene) make this film work for all ages.
Listen carefully to the Steve (the monkey) dialogue 'cos this had everyone laughing.
The Savoy was brilliant if you are looking to book a kids party!

Private screening and Party Room, friendly staff (we even had a look in the projection room, WOW! great machinery and an enthusiastic projectionist who answered all the questions! You just don't realise how complex the process is!).
Recommended film and highly recommended cinema (£110 for the party!) proper old fashioned cinema experience.
Great day, great cinema, great film!
I will never look at Gummi Bears the same way!
