    [Highly rated reviewer]

this film is superb and is voiced by Bill Hader and Anna Faris.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is inspired by Ron and Judi Barrett's beloved children's book of the same name.

The movie follows inventor Flint Lockwood (the voice of Bill Hader) and brainy weathergirl Sam Sparks (the voice of Anna Faris from The House Bunny and My Super X Girlfriend) as they attempt to discover why the rain in their small town has stopped while food is falling in its place.

Meanwhile, lifelong bully Brent (the voice of Adam Samberg) relishes in tormenting Flint just as he did when they were kids, and Mayor Shelbourne (the voice of Bruce Campbell from Xena) schemes to use Flint's latest invention - a device designed to improve everyone's lives for his own personal gain.

Mr. T. from The A Team voices by-the-book cop Earl Devereaux, and James Caan voices Flint's technophobe father called Tim.

    Well worth watching !!!!

Very funny film for kids and adults. I would recommend this film to all that are stuck for ideas to watch with their kids. Much funnier than I thought it would be, with a great storyline and the animation was brilliant

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It certainly kept my young niece and nephew entertained for a while, which makes it all the more enjoyable. Definitely one to watch with children that have active minds!

Far too old for it but I just loved this - had me grinning from ear to ear all the way through! Just annoying that the ending gets a little dragged out though. Thoroughly recommend if you need cheering up!

I watched this with a couple of other adults. I probably liked it the most of us three. The humour is mostly above average throughout, perhaps a little on the plain silly side at times, though clever or high brow in places, literally at one point.

The main strength is that its a bit different to those other animation studio formulas. The story is pretty creative throughout and it feels that there has been some bravery that goes against the US film mainstream in many ways. It returns to standard fare at more than one point which is fine, if a bit disappointingly predictable after the crazyness.

Whilst it is entertaining, its not a particularly emotional film. It doesn't have the magic of 'that other' studio as a whole. The lack of connection is mostly due to the slightly shallow depth to the characters, in particular the main guy, who is not so much instantly likeable, as just unexplained awkward.

Overall, this film follows a different way of doing things with some genuine originality. Much more hit than miss and its good fun.
