(263)Very funny animated film with a great storyline
By KelSmell (185 reviews) from Telford , 13 Jun 2012Very funny film for kids and adults. I would recommend this film to all that are stuck for ideas to watch with their kids. Much funnier than I thought it would be, with a great storyline and the animation was brilliant- Was this review helpful to you?

Lovely family film for everyone to enjoy. I could definitely sit through this again!
By minx187 (6 reviews) , 13 Jun 2012I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It certainly kept my young niece and nephew entertained for a while, which makes it all the more enjoyable. Definitely one to watch with children that have active minds!- Was this review helpful to you?

Better weather than we're having now...
By a customer , 13 Jun 2012Far too old for it but I just loved this - had me grinning from ear to ear all the way through! Just annoying that the ending gets a little dragged out though. Thoroughly recommend if you need cheering up!- Was this review helpful to you?

barmy to formality and back
By a customer , 12 Jun 2012I watched this with a couple of other adults. I probably liked it the most of us three. The humour is mostly above average throughout, perhaps a little on the plain silly side at times, though clever or high brow in places, literally at one point.
The main strength is that its a bit different to those other animation studio formulas. The story is pretty creative throughout and it feels that there has been some bravery that goes against the US film mainstream in many ways. It returns to standard fare at more than one point which is fine, if a bit disappointingly predictable after the crazyness.
Whilst it is entertaining, its not a particularly emotional film. It doesn't have the magic of 'that other' studio as a whole. The lack of connection is mostly due to the slightly shallow depth to the characters, in particular the main guy, who is not so much instantly likeable, as just unexplained awkward.
Overall, this film follows a different way of doing things with some genuine originality. Much more hit than miss and its good fun.- Was this review helpful to you?
