Now I am a big Mike Figgis, and if you watch anything by him be sure to pick up One Night Stand or Internal Affairs. But lately Mr Figgis has lost his touch. First came Timecode a pretty good story interestingly executed on a split screen, but then Figgis managed to make one of the worst films in history while managing to employ an all-star cast with Hotel. Figgis is now back with lalaland style and Cold Creek Manor. Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid (the most unlikely and unbelievable couple) star in this tale of a family moving to the country (that means redneck land in the US otherwise we don't get scared enough) to a big ol' house. What starts off as a well-paced, pretty eerie story turns into a farce halfway through unfortunately. But despair not, you can always watch this to welcome Sharon Stone back to your screens!
