One of a rash of inferior 1990s crime stories inspired by Reservoir Dogs, and featuring NYPD Blue's David Caruso as a criminal who seeks vengeance when his lover flees with the proceeds of their bungled diamond robbery. Kelly Lynch (playing a character called Jude Law!) is pretty good in her tough role, but Caruso's no Michael Madsen or Harvey Keitel — he just hasn't got the acting mettle to convince as a hard man. Writer/director John Ridley covers pretty similar ground to his script for Oliver Stone's U Turn, but on this occasion it's hard to care who wins the back-stabbing battle of the sexes.
This is a typical 'made for TV' movie. I suppose I should have guessed when I saw it starred Jeff Fahey. He only seems to make them, which is a shame as he could do better and has, in the past. Not much guess work here, rather predictable, except the end. That was better.
This plays like an American TV movie with predictable plot twists. It is like several other movies of its genre and signposts the route of the story leaving little for the viewer to be surprised by.
Really Enjoyed it!!!!!!!
It has a twist, Worth Watching
