Considering this stars Damian Lewis from Band of Brothers I was expecting something more. Boring, tedious and a complete waste of time. Unfortunately I don`t like to leave programs unfinished so I will be watching the rest of this otherwise I can`t say that i have seen it!!

    Avoid!!!!!

I wish I had read the reviews before renting the film I was thinking of the old TV series all about Colditz and the escapes and life in the POW camp, but no this is more about a Scottish soldier who wants to get off with his mates girl friend while his mate is still in Colditz, some people will like this film but I didn't, I didn't even bother watching the 2nd DVD either.

  • Worthy but dull

I was expecting a boys-own adventure tale but instead got a cliche ridden story of world war II which had nothing new to offer. Interesting for the who's who of young Brit acting talent (and a slightly bizarre turn by Jason Priestley) but it is all weighed down by a lumpy script, thinly drawn characters and no suspense. Damien Lewis makes the most of playing the likeable bad boy but that's about all there is to recommend this.

  • Is it true?

Well, it could have been. Yes, I know it's true - the famous escape from Germany's impregnable fortress prison (a bit like Alcatraz!) - but this was a great reenactment. However, the jumps through time confused the heck out of me!
