Colour Me Kubrick
By a customer from London , 18 May 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
I saw this film when it was in cinemas in the US and the whole audience was laughing every time John Malkovich's character entered in a new ridiculous outfit. It really is very funny and the references to Hollywood and Kubrick films are many and also very funny. My favourite scene was when Malkovich's character invites his local chemist and his wife to his grotty apartment and shows off so much about 'being' Stanley Kubrick that it scares the life out of the simple couple. The idea of the real Kubrick behaving this crudely is hilarious - which of course the director (Brian Cook) and writer (Tony Frewin) know very well having worked with the real Kubrick on many of his films. This is definitely a film to catch.- Was this review helpful to you?
