Colour Cross

I really love these types of puzzles, but in this case it's a shame they haven't been put together with a bit more care and attention. Overall I just found the game to be a bit too awkward in a few too many places:

Fitting the grid on such a small screen made it awkward to fill in, you can zoom in and out, but the numbers at the side of the grid move in so you can see them, covering part of the grid and I found that they often got in the way.

In some of the puzzles I had great difficulty as they use similar shades of the same colour, making it hard to tell if I'd already filled in 5 squares of dark brown, or whether those were the lighter brown colour. Also, the background behind the grid was often a very similar shade to a colour being used to fill in the grid, so again, I found it hard to know if I'd filled in that square already or if it was an empty square with the background colour showing through.

The pictures themselves were practically symmetrical, there were just a few differences here and there, so you could often guess where a lot of the colours were going to end up.

I'd previously played a great game exactly like this and LOVED it - you could use the stylus or the buttons to colour in the squares which i liked.

Although this game is the same concept - i find it frustrating that you can ONLY use the stylus to colour in the blocks - this will not apply to everyone but as i have had my DS for a while now the touch screens sensitivity tend to vary from place to place so that made things difficult - but also i found that the tip of my stylus was too big for the smaller boxes which meant that i would end up filling in 2 at a time & getting huge time penalties!

All in all a great and very addictive game but frustrating for me :o(
