    In this taut medical thriller, faithfully adapted from Robin Cook's bestseller by doctor-turned-novelist Michael Crichton, Geneviève Bujold's doctor suspects foul play when patients start dying unexpectedly in her hospital. The ER/Jurassic Park creator also directs and expertly turns the suspense screws in the gripping way that has become his trademark. It's Crichton's assured sense of creepy paranoia within the absorbing central mystery that gives an extra disturbing edge to the hospital horrors.

    Simple but gripping

    Very simple dialogue and acting and very dated now, but nevertheless i found it very entertaining, gripping and realistic as no stupid special effects required. Well worth watching.

    COMA

    The young Michael Douglas is quite attractive in this old film from 1978, that is re-run on late night TV, thriller with the mystery of patients dying for what reason???? A remake might be good.
