Classic british sex romp
By a customer from London , 13 Sep 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
one of the best (funniest!!!!) british sex romps from the seventies. There are many well known faces in the film. If you are looking for a well acted film, look away! Great fun, just dont expect a porn film.- Was this review helpful to you?

By MichaelW (7 reviews) from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire , 21 Nov 2012Don't waste your time with this. It is appalling.
Nice to see some good old comedy character actors from the past, I just hope they were all paid well for this utter tosh. Mary Millington did have her good points though!- Was this review helpful to you?

Another one for the historians.
By Mountfalcon (77 reviews) from Ilford, England , 09 May 2012There's nothing special about the film - it's a bog-standard, sub-standard sex comedy which outstays its welcome. But, as so often in such films, there are some compensations. In this case, there are beautiful cameos from Rita Webb and Queenie Watts, and a rare glimpse of Cardew Robinson (though in a terrible role), plus a smidgin of Valentine Dyall in disguise. Tommy Godfrey is always good value, as is Irene Handl. The songs should have been cut, and the choreography is embarrassingly bad. I'm still uncertain about Ken Parry in his usual prissy persona; he enjoys himself, but is rather too self-indulgent. Alfie Bass is very hammy, and Norman Vaughan (another cameo) looks like a refugee from skid row. Interesting to anyone keen on British comedy history, perhaps not to others. Oh yes - lots of naked women kept getting in the way of the action; no idea why.- Was this review helpful to you?

Very different
By Bluethistle (10 reviews) from Gravesend, Kent , 24 Dec 2010I remember this film coming out many years ago, with mixed reviews. It's like an adult version of the Carry On films, though not as silly.- Was this review helpful to you?

Swinging Sixties
By FrankIV (507 reviews) from Cirencester, England , 29 Nov 2010This is a really dire farce interspersed at frequent intervals with 'glamour' and soft core sequences which was hugely successful in its day. There are many well known comedy faces of the day appearing, such as Alfie Bass, Cardew Robinson, Bob Todd and the wonderful Irene Handl, but they are all wasted. As a film on its own, it's negligible, but put it with the extras - four trailers for similar films, a Harrison Marks soft core without the hindrance of a plot, and an interesting, if rather exploitative, documentary about Millington - and it becomes something of a record of the sexual attitudes of a generation. Harrison Marks himself plays a leading role, and looks as unprepossessing as his material. Pretty tacky.- Was this review helpful to you?
