Les Dawson's deadpan northern delivery, especially of mother-in-law jokes and his off-key piano playing made him a household name. The rubber-faced host of shows like 'Blankety Blank' and 'Opportunity Knocks', endeared himself to millions with his fishwife impersonations and toothless Cosmo Smallpiece. This collection of .. Doesnt do Les Justice

I am not sure who actually compiled these series of comedy greats DVD's but they really didnt look hard enough to find their best material. This really didnt do Les the Full justice that he deserves although it is the best one out of the series that I have seen todate.

    A great comedian

In my opinion, not the best of Les Dawson. The seemed to be no natural progression from clip to clip. However, reasonable entertainmennt for about 45 mins, but then seems to go on a bit too long. Overall though, not too bad

    Really good

I enjoyed seeing Les Dawson again as we don't get comedy like that anymore(sadly).

I watched it twice as I work nights and could watch it in the morning before I went to bed and it made me happy.

    A comic genius

Les Dawson is a brilliantly funny man. This video shows him at his best. He can get a laugh just by pulling a face. In fact my 16 year old son actually laughed at many of the clips, and it isn't easy to impress someone his age.

Les shows these new comedians how it should be done.

    Les Dawson

Good, but not the best of Les Dawson. Overall good, but could have been better.

    A sad loss to comedy

I have other memories of Les Dawson but this DVD provides a broad cross section of the type of sketches and humour he will be sorely missed for. No extras on the disk, but I suppose at 80 minutes it is longer than some of the other comedy DVDs out there, which can be as short as 45 minutes.
