All that matters to me now is Jenny

Don't be fooled by the bloodshed of this movie; the abiding message of Commando is that love- not stomach-turning violence- is the most powerful force on earth. The scores upon scores of evil henchmen to which Arnie lays waste are merely sacrifices, laid down on an alter of love for his daughter, his dear Jenny.

Mark L. Lester was fortunate to have such an emotionally honest actor as Mr Schwarzenegger, though acting seems an inadequate term for what really amounts to a vivisection of the human heart in all its stunning complexity. Consistently elegant, occasionally breath-taking, Commando is surely the one truly convincing love-story to emerge from the troubled 20th Century.

    Classic

Well what can I say?!?!? This should have been a 5 star rating because this is a total cheese classic revered by many!! but why the hell did they cut a quarter of the film??? surely in this day and age the type of violence from an 80's classic is nothing on most of the films out there nowadays? I mean C'mon it is an 18!! we are aware it is going to be violent why shield us from it? I can't speak for everyone but its half the reason I rented it!! any way moan over!! It is still a superb film watch it and enjoy!! kick ass Arnie at his best!!!
