Staged at the Royal Albert Hall on 29 November 2002 — exactly a year after George Harrison's sad and untimely death — and unfussily filmed by David Leland and Chris Menges using over a dozen cameras, this celebration of George's music proves once and for all that the quiet Beatle was a consummate songwriter in his own right. Surviving Beatles Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney (whose ukulele introduction to Something is a genuinely fond showstopper), Travelling Wilburys Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty, and key musical collaborators Eric Clapton and Ravi Shankar join Harrison's son Dhani in an all-star update of the first rock aid gig, The Concert for Bangladesh. Whether you're young or old, just sit back and feel the quality.

George Harrison died in November 2001 and on the first anniversary of his death some his friends and colleagues got together for this one off memorial concert. Many great artists took part and I will not give you any names as the surprise is part of the fun.
What you get is a set of two DVDs with the theatrical version and all the extras on one disc and the complete uncut concert on the second disc. Well, don't bother with disc one - it's cut down and doesn't bring the atmosphere across. The Indian piece for instance comes somwhere towards the end in a severely shortened version that doesn't do it any justice.
If you go straight for disc two this is what you get:
The first part is a specially composed piece of traditional Indian music that will transport you into a different world. Just sit back and enjoy some great music...
The second part is a stunning collection of some great George Harrison songs played by various artists and this bit is equally impressive.
Need I say more - go get it NOW!
