Waste of Time
By a customer , 26 Sep 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
I found this artistic rubbish. The characters were polite but did not get your feelings for them. I love J horror but this is well-presented regurgitated crap.

(80)Pay attention
By LoudPedal (40 reviews) from Maidstone , 18 Apr 2013Very interesting and beautifully made. One needs to pay attention though in order to grasp what it is really all about.- Was this review helpful to you?

Twists and turns drama
By JamesandCalli (21 reviews) from Oswestry, Shrops , 09 Nov 2012The act of murdering a 4 year old child is made clear early on - but the reasons keep changing, leaving you guessing at what's next. The lead actress may be 'unemotional' (she's criticised for this in one of the other reviews) - but that's the whole point. Emotions are bubbling under like a boiling pan with the lid on. And there are twists as what you think you see then is revealed as something different. There are some real surprises as the film moves along too. The classroom of 13 year olds is truly believable as a 'real situation' - and the fact that this is a Japanese film with subtitles seems to make it all the more eerie.
This was one of those films we went into pretty blind - but it kept us hooked from start to finish.

A bit slow, but good...
By SiSlayRD500 (136 reviews) from Solihull , 29 Aug 2012I thought this was a bit slow in pace and slightly convoluted, but overall worth the effort and good overall.
Well shot / directed and although not bloody, or gory a good story.
Worth a look if you've patience and like a developing plot.- Was this review helpful to you?

Consistently dull and dumb
By GordonGecko (12 reviews) from brighton , 23 Aug 2012On the plus side the cinematography is beatiful, camera angles are interesting, the look of the film has been well thought out. Some may find it overstylised - a little too pleased with itself. And this is how the actual story comes across too - so pleased with its own intricacies that it needlessly revisits scenes, over and over again from various points of view - flashback upon flashback. Unfortunately the story isn't all that clever, or interesting. Ultimately it's all rather juvenile and I had to force myself to watch to the end. The music didn't help: gentle guitar numbers with Thom Yorke's dour caterwauling. Some fans of extreme asian cinema might enjoy it, but it isn't a good example. Watch Battle Royale for something similar but better.- Was this review helpful to you?

Emotionless actress.
By a customer , 03 Aug 2012Badly made film with the actress who cannot act.
The actress is just reading out the scrip with no emotion.
There is a story but failed to represent it. Poor quality film.- Was this review helpful to you?
