This was so incredibly dire that it actually made me angry. Everything about it was poorly conceived and badly executed. What annoys me most is that, at some stage during the making of this film, the producer would undoubtely have realised that he was cobbling together one of the biggest stains ever to have been wiped on Hollywood's already dubious history, yet made the ill-advised decision to finish and release it anyway.
I can only imagine that the people who gave this tosh a positive review were paid to do so.
being a fan of the comic-to-hollywood genre i expected this to be a really good transfer of the story of john constantine. Sadly it was very long and not much happened in regards to the plot. the co-lead (cant remember her name!) did a good job in shaping it into something decent but the dismal attempt of keanu reeves, as ever boring and monotonal, let it down for me. that said im not one of his hugest of fans so if you are this film is probably of a higher calibre. slightly confusing ending if you dont pay 100% attention also. superb visual effects though.
