    Control

This was a suprise film in the fact that the write up did not sound great but after watching it i thought it was under rated. Ray Liotta puts in a brilliant performance as Lee Ray, a death row inmate spared his execution at the last minute by agreeing to be a test subject for an anti agressive drug that has been developed by Willem Defoe's character. The resulting effect of the drug has suprising consequences and keeps you gripped through the whole film.

    Well worth a look!

    Worth a watch

Am not sure about the comparison to A Clockwork Orange as have never seen it.

I thought this was a good film with an interesting plot. A violent murderer escapes death by lethal injection by agreeing to be a 'guinea pig' for a scientist's trial of a new drug. The drug promises to change Lee Ray into a calm person. Thought Ray Liotta was excellent in this as the murderer, very convincing. An interesting twist to the story comes towards the end, which I didn't see coming.

    Worth watching.

    Average

Scientist saves a murderer from Death Row in order to trial a new drug, which is meant to supress all violence and misdemeneors, to create a 'normal' human being. The film is similar in plot to A Clockwork Orange, but vastly insuperior in every respect.

Control is a typical Hollywood formulaic film, with all of the best 'action' scenes; shoot 'em up, beat 'em up and of course, THE car chase. If you are not bored with this sort of 'action' rent this film. However, if you have not seen A Clockwork Orange, do yourself a favour and rent it!

    Better than I had expected

I wasnt expecting much from this film, but I like to order films that I dont expect much from every now and again because sometimes they surprise you and this was one of those. I think it helped that I had no expectations of the film beforehand tho, its not excellent and I wouldnt rave to everyone to go see it in the cinema however as the storyline developed I found myself being drawn more and more into it and really enjoyed watching it!

    Blue eyes is back

This is a really good film. The story line is very good. Ray stars as a bad man ready to be given a lethal injection but gets given a second chance to redeem himself. It has a very good twist to it which you don,t expect. Its well worth watching. But be warned the ending lets this movie down big time. its one of those 'has this film just ended' ones. I wish they could of made the ending better would of given it a higher mark. But, don,t be put off its a good film to watch. ray is just brilliant in his role. you actually feel for the guy.

    Average film with typical twist

'Average film with typical twist' sums it up really. Some good performances but ultimately an average script and an average film. Its worth watching as the end is somewhat satisfactory though.

    WATCHABLE...BUT ONLY JUST.

Don't really have a lot of good things to say about this film. It's a kind of run -of-the-mill 'tv movie'. A lame cop/action thriller with good actors in it basically.I think if ray Liotta and the brilliant Willem Dafoe weren't in this film then it would have already been shown on channel 5 by now.

I was mislead by the trailer which actually made it look quite original and gripping.

A psycopath on death row,(Liotta) is given another chance,in return for testing new, mind altering drugs to help supress anger and make patients see right and wrong and remorse for any wrong doing.A 'reformed' man he is released back into society only for his previous life to catch up with him,and his pscycopathic tendancies to return.

I watched this all the way through but mainly due to Liotta and supporting cast. It's nowhere near as gripping or original as it could have been and the whole thing feels budget and looks poorly directed.

    Watchable...but only just.
