Having read the books many years ago I was somewhat dubious as to what the film could add or offer. However it was very interesting to see Neale's struggle through homelessness, poverty to success and the journey and life lessons learnt inbetween. The film was inspirational and touching; one of hope and perseverence.
I have not read the book and got this film to satisfy curiosity. The movie gives a teaser on what the book contains and it inspired me to get the book. For commercial reasons perhaps that is what it was intended to do.
Other than that, I agree with the viewers that it is about a homeless man who picks himself up again. There is a lot of talk about spirituality and his multi million success but very little about what he did to help the homeless. Given that he had the insider's view - that should have perhaps come naturally. Perhaps...!
