Violent Hong Kong police drama. After an altercation in a diner, struggling cop Mike (Daniel Wu) shoots a fleeing suspect, only to be suspended from duty and transferred to the undercover squad. Ordered to infiltrate the notorious Triad gangs, Mike quickly befriends top Triad leader Tin (Eric Tsang). Very soon Mike is not only ascending the Triad ladder but is also secretly bedding Tin's wife and leading the sort of lavish gangster lifestyle he could only dream of on a cop's salary, one he is beginning to enjoy.

Reminiscent of Infernal Affairs (and Eric Tsang stars in both), a cop goes undercover: he is special, as he says. Superbly scripted, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

Promising initially.....

Looked promising initially then downhill thereafter. Pretty thin. Simply not in the same league as Infernal Affairs I or II both of which have depth and guts - more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti.

refences of good seemed okay. But on watching nothing great at all. Boring dragged out style a sad letdown

Mission to bordom

I thought this film would have been really exciting but no sooner had I switched on the DVD player, the film displayed subtitles and I knew I was doomed, therefore I cannot say what the actual film was like as I did not get that far. If you like subtitled films, then you will enjoy this I am sure.
