In COSA NOSTRA, Martin Ryan (Timothy Hutton) is a crusading writer who becomes entangled in the underworld when his mafioso novel is selected to be made into a Hollywood film. Heading to Los Angeles, he is accompanied by two friends--Doc, a wise-cracking thug (Joe Pantoliano) trying to escape death by his former employers, and Sara (Michelle Burke), a beautiful stripper desperate to escape her troubled past.
