Keep an open mind

When I saw this I was very aware that it had had its fair share of bad reviews. However after seeing it I would encourage everyone to watch it with an open mind and I think you'll find it very enjoyable.
I thought it was a very sweet yet heartbreaking story and I loved everybodies perfomance in it. I love Gwyneth Paltrow and I really hope Leighton Meester does a lot more movies because I think she's great!
I really liked the music too, my favourites being Give In To Me and Summer Girl.
It's not everyone type of film, but I would recommend you see it despite what critics say.- Was this review helpful to you?

a modern day "walk the line".

Even if country is not your style, it is a good film,beware it's a bit of a weepie..

Much better than expected! Country is not my favourite music but Paltrow is always excellent in every role,, no exception in that one and makes good choices in the films she plays in. Even made me reach for the tissues towards the end. American films are good at pulling your heart strings.... The whole cast was good. too.
