better than friends
Coupling in a word is Genius.
It is very cleverly filmed with pulp fiction type time jumps, as far as I know unique to tv series, some very clever split screen filming as well.
Rather than relying on gags, as the American stuff so often does. Coupling uses real life observations, relating to the differences between the sexes. Often so spot on that it will have you laughing out loud.
The actors are brilliantly cast and the interaction very realistic.
Simply the best British comedy of this decade. -

Good series - ties ends up nicely
I'd heard a lot of bad press about this series, so was a bit aprehensive about watching it. No need, it was well written and still made me laugh. This series mainly follows Steve and Susan's pregnancy. Steve's having a few problems coping with the thought of being a dad - he keeps having nightmares that the fetus is out to kill him.
The cast seem to have matured in this series but without loosing the fun elements from previous series. The only down side is the loss of Jeff. I don't think his leaving was written that well, but his replacement was good. Just took a bit of getting used to after Jeff I suppose. -
