Stylish and downright cool. One of the best animes around: Well structured with developed characters, impressive martian city backdrops and some awesome action scenes.

As a owner of the entire series i must say this feature length movie its just fxxxing awesome.

It is a must have for a fan of the series,

Although it just doesnt deliver the way the series does,

Dispite this you will find yourself being drawn into the atmosphere of this movie and the enjoyment it brings.

    Bottom Line

As a fan you want this.

As a newbie..... hit or miss, Sadly

Do i own this movie and the series?

Your damn right and Im proud of it too

  • Bebop-a-lula, she’s my baby

CB is certainly of its time, and the themes and animation have understandably been overtaken by slicker technology and techniques as time had gone by, but this has something a little different to offer, a sense of fun that is missing from a lot of anime, which is a bit serious and suffers because of it. Likeable characters with a good dynamic, but the story was a bit tired, even in 2001. Definitely worth viewing, not having seen the series I will be seeking it out.

  • 1st Time seeing any Cowboy Bebop

Despite that or maybe perhaps because of it I really enjoyed the film. It was mysterious enough not be annoying and yet fun enough not to be to high brow. The drawing style is great and the animation smooth. Characterization was well played but I'm not sure what the little girl was all about(perhaps a Japanese/Asian thing?), think she was there for comic relief. Answers to that welcome.

If you like Firefly/Serenity you should like Bebop (and the series). Many people consider this the major influence on Firefly and if you have seen both you will quickly realise why.
