Likeable Characters - easy and enjoyable to watch
By Stephen from Bucks , 16 Feb 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
Firstly if you are looking for 2 teens getting it on forget it, this is not that kind of film, and thank goodness for that as I think that would have totally spoiled the effect of the film.
The film tells a story of 2 teenages brought together by chance, one gay one straight, and explores their friendship as well as taking us deeper into their inidividual lives.
What is nice about this film is that their respective sexualities is almost just a side story.
Very watchable. I really enjoyed it.- Was this review helpful to you?

(66)A really good film
By Mrcleeds (49 reviews) from Leeds , 07 Apr 2013I have never seen an Irish film before and didn't know what to expect. I watched this and thoroughly enjoyed it. None of your semi pornographic little mincers jumping to be the first naked like the drivel pouring from England and USA. No it was a believable film with talented actors and actresses with an interesting gay theme but thankfully not your typical gay film. Well worth a view and well worth the five stars I gave it.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 13 Oct 2012A very good film. Nice story and characters but if you are looking for a gay romance, don't hold your breath as it doesn't happen!- Was this review helpful to you?

"It's My Wick And I'll Go Out In Flames If I Want To" !!!
By a customer , 03 May 2012Set in Ireland, 'Cowboys And Angels' shows both the humorous and lonely side of trying to settle in a new Town on your own.
One lad is straight and has just started in the civil service.....
While the other lad is Gay and has just started University.
They find a common bond in the fact; they both went to the same school together, although divided by a couple of years and end up sharing the same flat.
A good comedy / drama, that would appeal more to the younger element.- Was this review helpful to you?

By johnbhoy64 (14 reviews) , 03 Mar 2012I was looking forward to this but was left really disappointed by it.
There was a plethora of film cliches throughout, climaxing towards the end of the movie plus a few nods to other movies/character.
The acting is fair and the effects are what's expected these days.
If you liked Independence Day then you'll like this, if you're a fan of Eastwood westerns then skip this.
I couldn't wait for this film to finish!- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than I had expected...
By Ashthedash (13 reviews) from Reading, England , 16 Oct 2011One of those films which slipped onto my list (probably due to a quiet afternoon at work when I had nothing better to do)...& yet...who knows why, it touched a chord. Cute guys, a moral lesson & the message of hope &acceptance. High art it aint, but it is a fun, well acted, tale of hope, friendship & overcoming. It made me laugh, it made me cry, & it gave me a bit of hope, not bad fora 5 inch bit of plastic.- Was this review helpful to you?
