Cracker .......indeed
By KEITH KING from Eastbourne, Sussex , 06 Mar 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Please bare in mind that I had never seen the series when they were on TV so they are new to me.
I have to say that each feature length DVD I get of Cracker leaves me wanting more and more, I still think of Robbie Coltranes performances days after I have seen the film, the man is great.
The acting is sublime, the story is gripping and it beats any supposed Hollywood blockbuster hands down: do not be brainwashed into thinking that all DVD's have to be USA produced, this is five star home grown stuff and it is excellent.- Was this review helpful to you?

(7)disturbing watch
By eorbmd (34 reviews) from Cupar , 16 Jun 2010a very good Cracker but gosh it well deserved the 18 certificate....not for any rape victims to watch. Very upsetting but very well done.- Was this review helpful to you?

tough story, what tv drama should do
By lesliejung (93 reviews) from london, england , 21 Apr 2009this episode leaves you wondering - its theme is sexism in the police and it is extremely appropriate for our times (at least here in London where i am based) - rape is low down on the hierarchy of things to care about and in this episode, the police are directly in the line of fire. pretty harrowing at times and fitz is right in the thick of it - the excellent thing always about this series, apart from the unlikely but very real sex appeal of robbie coltrane - is that it is tough on us - the good guys are not always as good as they ought to be and we see the pressures they are under. thoroughly satisfying if uncomfortable this one leads us wanting to see the next one in the series...and i am not sure which it is! highly recommended.- Was this review helpful to you?

Poor story
By JAP (12 reviews) from North Yorkshire England , 21 Dec 2008What a shame the story and acting let this down. Normally I am rivetted but I certainly was not with this part of the series.Nothing else to add.- Was this review helpful to you?
