Adrenaline packed action

On paper this film sounds rediculous but somehow it just works........actually it kicks ass!!!

Jason Stratham is great at what he does, a 21st century action hero, who is menacing but funny with it!!!

Crank does exactly what it says on the tin, a relentless, adrenaline packed movie where the action doesn't let up for a full 90 minutes, so don't be expecting an oscar worthy drama because that it ain't.

Very erratic editing and jumpy shooting add to the whole effect and keeps you transfixed as the lead manages to come up with increasingly inventive methods of keeping his ticker going!!!

I can fully understand why this film got the great reviews it did, because it never claims to be something its not.

Sit on the edge of your seat an enjoy 90 minutes of total escapism!!!

Take away the 'nk' and add a 'p'

This movie is about a man who is injected with a poison and he attempts to find his killers. This movie failed badly with me. The story was very plain and the acting was poor. It aimed itself at being arty farty with not much making any sense. Don't expect anything from this film, it didn't deliver for me.

A pleasant surprise

After seeing some good reviews I decided to give this a go expecting a decent enough action flick. What I didn't expect was the most breathless, exciting and funny film of the year. Anyone expecting plot, characterisation or Oscar-worthy acting is going to leave disappointed, everyone else will have a field day.

The film opens with Statham waking up, hearing some bad news and kicking his t.v. in, we are then taken on a breakneck journey of ludicrous action, insane stunts, brilliant gags and possibly the funniest sex scene in cinema history.

I don't want to spoil the fun so just see it.

It is what it is

Okay firstly, to all the people that felt compelled to write how offended and disgusted they were by this film - what did you think you had rented?

Shimlas Crank? The Crank Mile? The ShawCrank Redemtion?

No - this is not Oscar winning stuff - this is balls out great action.

From the very begining of the flim you are thrown into a 1hr 30 minute chase scene. Personlly I find Jason Statham annoying, but in this film he works well - very well infact, Especially as he's dropped the dodgy American accent.

If you want a great action film that doesn't worry about being too PC and will give you a few laugh out loud moments then this is the film for you.

WHAT A FILM!

Forget about the other reviews stating this is a movie for the cretinous and braindead.It doesnt claim to be anything but an action packed,fast paced ACTION film and this is what you get.Better than the Transporter and well worth the watch!! Go Statham,its your best film to date,keep makin em like this cos theyre not makin these movies anymore and they're sorely missed!Should be MANDATORY for all action fans.

jason statham is quickly becoming the action star of the dvd takeaway no brainer evenings this in true transporter style is a non-stop rollercoaster ride with a few laughs along the way and great fight scenes a must for all action fans

Very Good

This is an action film with a sense of humour.

Much better than Transporter, this film is fast paced & funny. This film doesn't fall in the trap like most action films by taking itself too seriously. The story isn't complicated; man gets poisoned & spends the day trying to keep alive.

If you looking for an entertaining funny action film, then watch it.

Brilliant I can highly recomend watching this film.

A fantastic all action movie that's up there with the best Die hard, Lethal Weapon etc.

This film shows Statham at his very best, and with an ending that will suprise you it has something for eveyone.

Crank.... Wank!

I thought films couldn't get any worse for cheese and badly acted storylines after I saw XXX... then I was asked to see this.

I was told its an action packed non stop adventure with Statham at his best.... BOY was I dissapointed... I put up with the bad jokes, rubbish effects and over the top attempts at being an action film but I had to switch the film off after 50 minutes.

Those that have suffered the film will remember what happens at 50 minuies in and the China town sex scene... what on earth was that all about?

Waste of time if you ask me.
