Most helpful review
Two out of three ain't bad
By Matt from Somerset, UK , 13 Feb 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
There are three films on this DVD. The first one, Roger Corman's 'Creature from the Haunted Sea' is truly dreadful, and not even in the 'so bad it's good' category. However, the other two are good old creaky horror classics, and great fun if you like that sort of thing. Bela Lugosi in 'The Devil Bat' is a wonderfully hammy mad scientist, while 'The Vampire Bat' features a marvelously over-acting Dwight Frye as a Renfield-type character and the gorgeous Fay Wray (with her natural brunette hair, not the blonde wig she sported for King Kong).- Was this review helpful to you?
