    [Highly rated reviewer]

This documentary was marred by the awful narration, they 'made for americans' feel and the lack of a sense of unity. The whimsical narration irritates as does the narrators accent. I was disappointed to have watch something that had few of the famous photographs instead it relied upon engravings. The number of maps used was poor limiting a sense of space. Overall I was disappointed by what should have been a great documentary on a little touched subject. It did however show the widespread imact of the war as a plus but as a whole I would have done better reading a book out loud.
