The worst thing Ben has ever done is, tonight, he takes his Dad's black cab out without his permission. But that's not why Ben ends the evening in a police cell. What looked to be a spontaneous evening of fun with a sexy stranger, Melanie, has culminated in a dead girl and Ben covered in her blood, holding the murder weapon. All the evidence points to Ben. There are no other leads. But he didn t do it. He can t remember all the events of the night, but he s sure he didn t. Ben is about to see what the criminal justice system does to someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Fantastic film

What can I say fantastic fantastic fantastic film,I'm a great fan of Pete Postlethwaite and with Ben Whishaw they make a great double act you must rent this.

I have not watched Disc 2 as yet as am waiting for it to arrive but having watched the first disc, the title could be renamed Criminal Injustice! I did not watch this series when it was on TV but have watched the 2nd one with Maxine Peake which is fantastic, hence me renting this series.. CJ1 makes compelling viewing with some very good acting and one is on the edge of their seats during the whole 2 1/2 hours. Cant wait for disc 2!

The end lets it down

Totally enthralling, good story and great cast.

However it is all let down in the last 10-20 minutes by an inconclusive ending. It seems the writers suddenly found they had to end the story and had little time to do it in. It may give closure to the main character, but how about the same thing for the overall crime.

Would have had at least 4 stars apart from this.

Good suspense and acting. Makes you wonder if something similar could happen to you if you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Criminal Justice - Disc 1

This has been has been the best series we have watched for a long time, although the portrayal of British justice and the presentation of prison life has been a revelation, and not a pleasant one either. The acting is superb, particularly that of Ben Wishaw who portrays the young man's dilemma very convincingly. Pete Postlethewaite is as always magnificent and the production a triumph by the BBC. Our major disappointment however has been that after a month's waiting, we still have not received the second disc and are fast forgetting the intricate details of the story..
