    superb

this dvd series is superb. criminal minds is very much like 'without a trace' and 'CSI', with a different case per episode.

the Behavourial Analysis Unit has a team of experts with unique abilities, headed by a complex, tortured and brilliant older man called Agent Gideon.

Mandy Patinkin plays Agent Gideon, an intense, quiet, but very talented criminal profiler, who puts together physical and psychological descriptions of criminals, by examining the crime scene.

most of the episodes, build up in intensity, until Gideon and his team identify and find the criminal, before he commits another crime, usually of arson, kidnapping or murder.

the episodes can be quite disturbing, as they deal with the worst kind of criminals.

Dr. Reed, who is played by Matthew Gray Gubler is one of my favourites, as although he is a genius in his chosen field, he is not a good communicator with ordinary people. you could say he lacks the social skills. this just goes to show, the human side of a character, as well as their genius.

    well worth watching.

    Very good

I watched this on TV and can't wait for the second series. Its a very good series based on how a killer thinks and behaves rather than mainly on the forensic evidence like CSI

If you like things like CSI or Bones then I am sure you will like this.

    Cracker For The Mentally Challenged

This series is similar to 'Without a Trace' and 'CSI' and is made for an American audience. While the stories are entertaining and based on real psychological profiling they lack credibility. If the FBI were this good they would be catching serial killers like most people catch a cold. If you want to watch a more credible series then try 'Cracker' (UK version with Robbie Coltrane not US version).

    Unbelievably banal

This is one of the most risible of recent USA imports. How your contributors could possibly give this piece of nonsense five stars is beyond belief. To say that the characters are cardboard cutouts is in fact an insult to cardboard. I know that fiction can never really match reality, however, these characters come from another planet, they are constantly using scientific terms and then falling over each other to define them like adolescents trying to show off to their teacher. I felt that I was being very kind giving this drivel two stars.

Good, but not as good as c.s.i

This series is good to watch, but im a big c.s.i fan and unfortunately criminal minds didnt really live up to all the hype for me. I thought the plots in each episode were very basic and not enough shock factor for my liking.

Worth watching, but im sticking to c.s.i

    Brilliant

Well after the first episode I am hooked. You find it interesting on how they get a profile on a criminal and using it to find them. If you like CSI and programmes like it, give this ago.
