Jean Reno is back.........
Crimson rivers was an amazing film about a strange set of murders. These murders all lead to a college stroke town which used to be used by a Nazi genetic scientists, but was now just a normal college and village(we believe you).
This movie is French but not art house it's dubbed well!! or sub titled as was the first in the now series.
Angels of the Apocalypse has Jean Reno in it again along with Christopher Lee (Saruman in Lord of the Rings, or Dracula in many other movies). This film has the same great budget as the original and story. It's a little more edgey and dark. I really enjoyed it and was not disapointed as I usually find myself with follow up movies. All I can say with out spoiling the movie is it's ritual murders and a detective simular to the first movie (which is a good thing).
Yes it's French but don't let it stop you. This film is fresh and twists like a mad man. IF I had to say what it's like I'd have to say a cross between Seven,Saw and the all time great detective movies.
I'd say a must see if you saw the first movie, a must if you like Jean Reno films. If you saw Seven or Saw and liked them you'll love this. -

Toss
What an absolute load of toss. I have just devoted 1.5 hours of my life to this heap of toss. It's trying to be a thriller like seven & failing badly. I like the films Jean Reno stars in, but this is an exception. If this is supposed to be better than the first then steer clear of both of them. If you like your suspense check out Saw & Seven, life is too short for this.
