This is the first, and best, of the tales about the Australian outback's living legend, who can wrestle crocodiles with his bare hands and subdue ladies with his naked charisma. Paul Hogan took his lager-commercial he-man into the big time with this New York-set “fish out of water” tale, and the result is as agreeable as if it were Tarzan himself coping in the concrete jungle. Director Peter Faiman's languid pace gives us time to appreciate this particular Wizard from Oz as he survives sophisticates' taunts and outwits street villains. It's a pity Hogan couldn't keep the momentum going for later movies, but for this, at least, he created a totally likeable hero.

    Very cleaver film

I enjoyed this film as it was funny but not because of jokes but the situation that Mick Dundee found himself in when he visited New York. I have not seen verson two but if it is a good as this film then it is a pity they dont make version three.

Transformers star Lucas is Crocodile Dundee wannabe

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen} star Isabel Lucas is a closet Crocodile Dundee - she learned how to survive in Australia's outback from her Aborigine best friend. The sexy actress, who plays an alien in the new blockbuster, lived among the native Aussies in Kakadu as a child, and she learned all about the land and how to live miles away from civilisation. Lucas tells Details magazine, "My best friend was Aboriginal. She taught me about 'bush tucker' - the food of the land, the different... Read more
