An accomplished cast is rather wasted on this unexceptional TV-movie drama, with Lorraine Bracco as the careerist whose spare time is divided between her family and disabled mother. Martin Donovan is miscast as the husband so emasculated by his wife's competence that he sues for divorce, while Bracco's decision to abandon her perfect life and begin again in a renovated lighthouse detaches the plot from its semblance of reality and leaves it to drift into fanciful melodrama.
