Not great, but not wholly without ideasBy Rehan (128 reviews) from London , 18 Sep 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I started watching this film and thought I'd made a HUGE mistake: as others have pointed out, the dubbing is terrible (a second or two out a lot of the time), and the clichés come thick and fast.
But are they clichés or is it the way people are, or even the way people feel they need to be?
Having said this, much of the acting was not so much wooden but MDF [I've said that before but I think it's good so I'll say it again]; and so were many of the concepts. But, odd though it may seem at a casual viewing, there are some pertinent observations about being a minority-within-a-minority and the strains of being not only an ethnic minority but a sexual one as well.
Many of the points were laboured and clumsy, but unless you're in a very sour mood it's moderately engaging.

SurprisingBy Randomfilmbuff (327 reviews) from London , 22 Mar 2009When I first got this I htought it was going to be a typical awful gay film but it was quite entertaining - I loved the story line. However, the acting was very woodern

Nice tryBy a customer from West Malling, Kent , 11 Jan 2009Well, I now know what Cut Sleeve Boys are, but this film doesn't work. It seems unable to decide if it is going to be a light frothy comedy or have something serious to say, so it ends up being slightly funny and then overly serious. The self involvement of the main leads grates and the film has nothing to say for itself in the end. Shame really, could have been better.
terribleBy a customer from London , 31 Dec 2008terrible, terrible oh and I forgot, terrible!
What a wasteBy a customer from Sittingbourne , 19 Nov 2008This could have been a good movie but wasn't. It got stuck somewhere between edgy urban tale, romance and 'indie'. It bounces tiresomely and predictably between these...although just a few times, manages a flicker of inspiration. Oh and it resorts to some awful soft porn to keep the viewer awake.
