Courage beyond comprehension...By Vengeful Hegehog from London, England , 26 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]A superb collection of colourised clips from 60 years ago, bringing home the valour of those involved in the action, the stakes for which they were fighting and the debt that the free world arguably forgets that it owes them. Recommended...

VERY GOOD!By a customer from Renfrew , 13 Feb 2009A fantastic background insight into the thoughts of those directly involved in d day and the general public in London in 1940s. It is ideal if all you want is a basic overview of what went on. Very well commentated, held my interest throughout.
Only complaint a bit on the short side.........
Our finest hourBy a customer from Cannock , 20 Jan 2009A well put together documentary but not much here i hadn't seen before. The narration was good and the scene was set well. Worth a watch.
D-Day in ColourBy a customer from Newport , 14 Dec 2008I was disapointed with this film good content, but too short!
Not sure colour mattersBy Wychwood (100 reviews) from Huntingdon , 13 Aug 2008This documentary is reasonably inciteful and informative. John Hurt does a fine job narrating, although I wish he'd clear his throat sometimes :-)
The DVD is a good start point for a potted history of the lead up to D Day with some compelling footage. Whether digitally colourised or not, I found the presentation very watchable.
Not the bestBy essexboy (27 reviews) from Haverhill , 20 Jun 2008Rehashed and coloured in, this would better viewed as part of a series rather than as a standalone film.
