Confusing and Boring
By WolfieSmith from West Midlands , 14 Jun 2005It must be difficult to turn a true story about a serial killer into something thats confusing, boring and ultimately unwatchable but the makers of this managed it.
There wasn't any 'flow' to the story, you didn't get any insight into why he became such a monster and how or when he was caught.
I'm not a fussy 'watcher' and will usually find some redeeming feature in films but this is one to definitely avoid.- Was this review helpful to you?

Purile
By Eoin from Belfast, N.I. , 26 May 2005This is without a doubt the worst film I have ever seen. You may think to yourself 'oh I'll watch it just to see how bad it is'. DONT, do not under any circumstance watch this film. It is long, boring, badly acted, with a terrible ending.
To recap, it is not scary or thrilling and is utterly painful to watch. I think I would probably rather watch my own foot being cut off thatn suffer through this film again.- Was this review helpful to you?

WEAK EFFORT OF A SERIAL KILLER DEPICTION
By LEE CHALLENGER from Dudley,England. , 18 May 2005Jeffrey Dahmer was one of the worst psychopaths in history but this film totally fails to portray the horror of the man's crimes.Instead the director seems to show Dahmer in a sympathetic light via a series of flashbacks to his troubled teenage years living with his parents and grandmother. There is no real explanation offered for what drove Dahmer to commit the atrocities that he did and the film does not really show in any detail what we know the police found in his flat. There are only a couple of scenes that hint at what Dahmer got up to and the film does not build up to any climax resulting in the viewer wondering how the police caught him.
Very disappointing.- Was this review helpful to you?
