Compulsive viewing !

I have to rent this series as it is on so late at night plus it's better to watch in one during the day as all the wretched 'flashbacks' are too much when one is tired ! This series is compulsive viewing. I'm pleased Glen has a more flattering hairstyle in this series 4 !- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)Not as good as first 3 series
By johnnyb78 (79 reviews) from Swindon , 22 Mar 2013I am a die-hard Damages addict. In series 1,2 and 3 I loved the flashbacks, flash forwards and intricately woven plots that kept you guessing right up to the end. We were fed pieces of the story, which we had to put together in a plot that twisted and turned. None of this happens in Damages 4. Although it picks up by disk 3 of 3, at other times the story plods on, padded out with overlong scenes of no significance. How can the 'flu play such a prominent role and play no part in the play? The dialogue in parts is boring and the characters not fully developed. Even Patty seems to have mellowed. Glenn Close still looks good for mid sixties, although the filtered lens shots are obviously trying to hide something. All in all, I found the story line a bit weak and the suspense very lacking. Disappointing as Damages 1, 2 and 3 were absolutely brilliant.- Was this review helpful to you?

Slow in the middle
By a customer , 02 Jan 2013Absolutely love this series, although there were a few episodes in the middle that were a bit slow. Thankfully it picked up for an explosive ending.- Was this review helpful to you?

Compulsive Viewing
By macspindle (3 reviews) , 10 Nov 2012This was excellent just like the previous seasons. Glenn Close, as always, is wonderful in her role as Patty Hewes and John Goodman is superb. This is compulsive viewing and I cannot wait for season five.- Was this review helpful to you?
