Years before TV gave us the return of Battlestar Galactica, the other CGI revival, Captain Scarlet (really rather good the pair of them!) and , of course Dr. Who, came Dan Dare. This is a nice little series that captures the spirit of the old Eagle comic strip. The adventures rattle along nicely. I did tend to get a little irritated by Dan's voice, not a great idea when he's the star, but I lived with it.

It's good fun and can be a little creepy if you are thinking of renting it for the kids (story 2 is really quite grim at the start). But in this post Nu Who generation, they may lap it up!

Overall, fun.
